Изобретение относитс  к области термической обработки (закалки) металлов и металлических деталей и касаетс  состава закалочных масел дл  быстрого охлаждени  металлов .This invention relates to the field of heat treatment (quenching) of metals and metal parts, and concerns the composition of quenching oils for the rapid cooling of metals.

Conventional mineral oils used for hardening steel parts have insufficient cooling capacity at temperatures corresponding to the low stability of supercooled austenite (approximately 650-300 ° C), which limits the use of low alloy steels with low hardenability and forces to use for parts of large steel sections with elevated content of alloying elements.

Известное закалочное масло, состо щее из минерального масла и присадок (0,2-1% иоаола и 2--6% алкилсалицилата кальци ), имеет недостаточную охлаждающую способность .The known quenching oil, consisting of mineral oil and additives (0.2-1% ioaol and 2--6% calcium alkyl salicylate), has insufficient cooling capacity.

In order to increase the cooling capacity of the oil, 3-30 wt. % VAT residue of synthetic fatty acids. The optimum amount of this additive in the oil is 5-15 wt. % VAT residue. The bottoms residue is an industrial waste and contains synthetic C2 0 fatty acids and higher.

Example 1. In various mineral

% VAT residue of synthetic fatty acids.

1.Some characteristics of the selective cooling of silver with a diameter of 20 mm are given in Table. one.

Example 2. In the industrial oil-ZO entered 10 wt. % VAT residue of synthetic fatty acids.

2.The time and rate of cooling of a standard nickel ball in the obtained oil and in oil I-30 are given in Table. 2

,The study of the quenching of cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 20 mm made of steel ShH-15 with heating in a protective atmosphere shows significant advantages of oil with bottom residue in relation to the microstructure and hardness of steel (see table 4). ,

Результаты исследовани  приведены iтабл . 4.The results of the study are given in tab. four.

3.The proposed addition of synthetic fatty acids Cao and above (bottoms) to the quenching oil changes the mechanism of oil boiling near the cooled surface and, as a consequence, the nature of heat removal in the high temperature zope, thus accelerating cooling in the surface temperature range, which is essential for high-quality hardening. It is important that this effect is not achieved for all fractions of synthetic fatty acids, but only for the Cgo fraction and above. Results and process conditions are given in Table. 3
