Description
The invention can be used in the gas and oil industry in the fields, refineries and gas-gas plants, as well as to protect tanks, c. which installation of anodes for some reason is difficult or unacceptable.
There are known devices for cathodic protection of the inner surface of a metal container against corrosion caused by the action of an aggressive medium, containing a DC source, the negative pole of which is connected to the tank, and an anode connected to the positive pole of the current source. In such devices, steel or graphitized anodes are used that are installed inside a tank with aggressive media. However, when using these devices, the capacitance for a long time may be left completely unprotected, since, usually due to the high electrical conductivity of the corrosive medium, the anodes dissolve before the capacitance is repaired. The use of more massive anodes can lead to re-protection of the bottom, and consequently, to the irrational use of the metal of the anode. In addition, in known devices, it is difficult to repair damage at the point of contact of the anode cable with the anode or the cable itself, since access to the inside of the container is not always possible. The installation of anodes inside the protected container is often unacceptable according to fire regulations, since in the event of an electrical breakdown, a spark may ignite the product (oil, gasoline, etc.) inside the container.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of protection. This is achieved by the fact that in the proposed device the anode is placed in a container located outside the protected container and connected to a system of dielectric tubes placed inside the container with openings blocked by porous dielectric partitions. The container with the anode and the system of tubes are filled with electrolyte and form an electrolytic tokovod.
Pa figs. I shows the proposed device, a cross-section; in fig. 2 - the same plan view; in fig. 3 - a device for cathodic corrosion protection of the inner surface of a group of metal containers.
2.The device contains a current source /, the positive pole of which is connected to the anodes 2 placed in container 3. The container is made of steel and coated inside with a dielectric material - paint or bituminous coating or rubber sheets. The container is connected to a system of tubes 4 made of a dielectric material, for example, polyvinyl chloride, and having openings 5, covered with partitions 6 of a dielectric porous material, for example, ceramics. The tube system may have various shapes depending on the shape of the tank 7 to be protected. If the latter is a cylinder (see Fig. 1), then. It is advisable to make a system of tubes in the form of a ring. FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the system of tubes 4. In the upper part of the container 3, a tube 8 is installed to balance the pressure in the tank to be protected and to discharge the gases evolved during the operation of the anodes 2.
The device works as follows.
A system of tubes 4 is placed inside the container 7. One of these tubes is led through a shtuser 9 and connected with a container 3. The system of tubes and the container are filled with a concentrated electrolyte, for example, 20% sodium chloride solution. When the tube system is filled with electrolyte, an electrolytic tokovod with low resistance is formed. Then the negative pole of the current source / is connected to the protected capacitance. When the electric circuit is closed, the current flowing from the anodes 2 flows through the electrolytic current to the current and then through the holes 5, blocked by partitions 6 to the bottom
емкости 7 и создает на этом днище защитный потенциал.capacity 7 and creates a protective potential on this bottom.
For cathodic polarization, protectors can be used. In this case, the device works in a similar way.
This embodiment of the device provides reliable protection of the inner surface of the metal container against corrosion and reduces the cost of this protection.
