High-boiling single-core heterocyclic or fused or multi-core heterocyclic compounds can also be used as a tertiary amine with one simple bond or the above group having at least one basic nitrogen atom as a part of the ring, such as 4,5-dipyridyl Dichinol2,6,6,6-dimethyl-4-pentadecylpyridine; high-boiling compounds, which consist of at least two condensed saturated ring systems, with one at least tertiary basic nitrogen atom forming part of the amino group and part of the cycle. In this case, the tertiary amines can be substituted by some other residue such as a halogen atom or one of the following groups: hydroxyl, alkoxy, mercapts, carbalkoxy, acyloxy, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, dialkylamino, as well as the residue of a complex sulfonic acid ester, etc. Amines can be added in an amount of from about 0.01 to about 10%, preferably from 0.1 to 2%, based on dissolved trioxane. The method is feasible with the use of 20% amine. The upper limit of the amount of amine is determined by considerations of an economic nature. The treatment of trioxane with solutions can be carried out in various ways, for example by shaking, followed by separation of the layers formed by a known method. Apparatus is preferred, acting continuously on the countercurrent principle. Depending on the frequency of processing the solution of trioxane with an aqueous alkaline solution, produced once or several times, receive trioxane of different quality. For example, in a single treatment, trioxane is obtained, which is polymerized to polyoxymethylene having a mol. weight. less than 60,000, in the case of multiple treatments, during which diluted solutions can be used, a trioxane is obtained that is capable of polymerizing to polyoxymethylene whose molecular weight exceeds 100,000. It is recommended to use freshly prepared, relatively dilute solutions. Example 1. Trioxane containing distillate, as it is obtained by distillation of aqueous formaldehyde solutions in the presence of acid, is cooled to 10-15 ° C, the trioxane released is filtered off and dissolved in such amount of methylene chloride to obtain 50 "/ o the solution. This solution is shaken three times with water, the volume of which is 1/10 times the volume of the solution and then shaken again three times with 2N. a solution of sodium hydroxide, the volume of which each time is 1/12 of the volume of the solution. The aqueous phases are separated each time. Under methylene chloride solution is added with stirring to dissolve 0, (counting the trioxane contained in the solution) pure triethanolamine, after which the solvent is distilled off in a distillation column. The residue is subjected to fractional distillation. Approximately 60% of the trioxane to be processed is obtained as a product capable of polymerizing. Example 2. The trioxane containing the product after distillation of an aqueous solution of formaldehyde is cooled to about 10-15 ° C in the presence of acid. The separated trioxane is filtered off and dissolved in such amount of methylene chloride to obtain a 50% solution. 5 about. 1 hour of this solution of trioxane in methylene chloride is fed to a counter-current extraction column filled with a packing. In the upper part of the column serves 5 vol. including 1 methylene chloride, and in its lower part- 8 vol. hours in 1 hour of water. The aqueous phase withdrawn from the column includes formaldehyde, which is practically free of trioxane. From the bottom of the column, the trioxane solution is siphoned to the top of the column, filled with a nozzle. In this column, SEIZ receives countercurrent 1 vol. hours at 1 o'clock 2 n. sodium hydroxide solution. The aqueous phase is withdrawn through the overflow in the upper part of the column, and the methylene chloride solution is siphoned from the lower part of the column. In this methylene chloride solution, 0.1 o / o (calculated on dissolved trioxane) bis- (ha-dimethylaminophenyl) methane is continuously dissolved. The resulting solution is fed to a continuous packed column, the bottom part of which is heated. Methylene chloride is obtained again in the upper part of the column, and trioxane with stabilizer dissolved in it is obtained in the bottom part of the column. This liquid trioxane, obtained as a residue, is then subjected to fractional distillation, with pure trioxane distilled from the top of the column, suitable for producing polyoxymethylenes of high molecular weight. With continuous processing, 95-99% purified trioxane is obtained as a product capable of polymerization. Example 3. A trioxane containing distillate, obtained by distilling aqueous formaldehyde solutions, in the presence of acid, is mixed with methylene chloride, taken in the amount of Vs and the weight of the distillate, and two phases are formed. Further processing is carried out as described in Example 2. 2N is used as the alkaline solution. a solution of potassium hydroxide, and in the form of a stabilizer, 4,4-dipyridyl. When continuously carrying out the process, they are obtained in the form of a product capable of polymerization, 90-95% are directed.
