Description
,This invention relates to the treatment of titanium alloys in order to remove hydrogen from parts and semi-finished products that have been etched. There is a method of processing titanium alloys in a solution of hydrofluoric and nitric acids. The proposed method differs from the known proportion of the components of the solution containing its other concentrations of hydrofluoric and nitric acids, which removes the hydrogenated metal layer from the surface of titanium alloys that have been etched. The method is carried out as follows. After etching, titanium alloys are processed in a solution of the following composition, wt. ,%: Nitric acid (sp. Weight. 1.4) 62-83 Hydrofluoric acid (sp. Weight 1.13) 16-17 Water Remaining. The treatment is carried out at room temperature for 3-10 min. Then it is quickly and thoroughly washed with cold water and dried at 70-100 ° C for 40-50 minutes. The table shows the spectral results (| th analysis (without surface stripping) of the hydrogen content on the surface of titanium samples after processing the solution according to the proposed method. Subject of the invention in order to remove the hydrogenated layer from the surface, the components are taken in the following ratios, wt.%: Nitric acid (unit weight. 1.4) 62-83 Hydrofluoric acid (unit weight. 1.13) 16-17 Water Remaining, and the process is conducted at room temperature. eture for 3 minutes
