Description

The present invention concerns a process for the production of potassium nitrate and hydrochloric acid by the action of nitric acid on potassium chloride.

The method consists in adding nitric acid to the concentrated solution of potassium chloride at the rate of: 1 chemical. equivalent to KCI and 2 chem. equivalent of nitric acid (counting on anhydrous); the resulting mixture is subjected to distillation or drying at a temperature of 110-120 °, while a residue of 100% potassium nitrate is obtained. The distillate consisting of a mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acids is added to a concentrated solution of potassium chloride, following the same calculation: for 1 equivalent of KCl-2 equivalent of nitric acid. After evaporation at 110-120, a residue is obtained containing a mixture of salts of KS and KNOs. The resulting dry mixture of salts (KS and KMOZ) is dissolved in water, double equivalent of nitric acid (relative to the existing KS) is added and again evaporated at 110 ° -120 at the same time again get 100% potassium nitrate.

Получающиес  растворы сол ной кислоты дл  очистки подвергают перегонке, отбира  фракции нужной чистоты и концентрации .With the second and subsequent otgonami act similarly to the first. The resulting hydrochloric acid solutions are subjected to distillation for purification, collecting fractions of the desired purity and concentration.

Subject invention

110 - 120°.1. A method of producing potassium nitrate and hydrochloric acid by the action of concentrated nitric acid on potassium chloride at concentrations corresponding to 1 chemistry equivalent to 2 or more chemically equivalent potassium chloride. equivalent of nitric acid, characterized in that, in order to obtain 100% saltpeter, the solution is subjected to distillation or drying at a temperature of 110-120 °.

Accepting the method mentioned in claim 1, characterized in that in order to fully utilize nitric acid and separate it from hydrochloric, the distillate is distilled into a saturated solution of potassium chloride, which is then evaporated to obtain a mixture of potassium nitrate and chloride Kali.

110 - 120.3. Acceptance of the method indicated in paragraphs 1 and 2, characterized in that the mixture of potassium chloride and potassium nitrate is brought into solution and after adding a double equivalent of nitric acid in relation to the amount of potassium chloride and evaporated again at a temperature of 110 - 120
