Description
There is a known method of processing antimony matte by leaching with a solution of sodium sulfide and alkali, followed by separation of antimony from solution by hydrolysis, cementation or electrolysis.
A feature of the proposed method is that elemental sulfur is added to the leaching solution. This enhances the removal of metallic antimony from the matte and contributes to the overall recovery of antimony into the solution. Practically in antimony mattes, a significant part of antimony (60. o / o relative and more) is contained in metallic form, in the form of entangled corules. When leaching such mattes, antimony metal is not extracted, and the total antimony recovery is very low. Metallic antimony can be successfully extracted from the matte by adding elemental sulfur to the sulfide-alkaline solution, which oxidizes metallic antimony with its transfer to the B solution in the form of thio- or thioxy-salt. Sulfur is added to the solution in the amount of 1-8 kg per I kg of metallic antimony in the matte. The optimal leaching conditions for antimony matte containing a significant portion of antimony in metallic form are as follows: temperature 100-105 ° C, ratio Ж: Т (4-6): 1, leaching time 1-3 h.
80-120, NaOHThe leaching solution contains in g / l: Na2S total. 80-120, NaOH
25-35, the addition of elemental sulfur 20-40. Under these conditions, the extraction of antimony in the solution reaches 90-95%, and an increase in the NaOH content in the solution is observed by 25-50 g / l. The sulphide-alkaline solution for leaching matte under production conditions can be replaced by a circulating electrolyte of the anti-production hydroelectric circuit, and the solution obtained after leaching can be directed to
In this case, the caustic matte contained in the solution after leaching is used to reduce the total consumption of reagents in the hydroelectrometallurgical circuit.
