Abstract
FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: product: benzimidazolechalcogenones-2 of the formula cH-NH=x-NH (I) where x - Se, S. Reagent 1: o-phenylenediamine. Reagent 2: selenium or sulfur. Reaction conditions: biphase system: chloroform/aqueous concentrated alkali, at 50-65 C. Preferably addition of 3 mole% (not less) quaternary ammonium salts. (Ia), x - Se, m. p. is 235 C (with decomposition from ethanol), yellow powder, R= 0.52, yield is 18-48%; (Ib), x - S, m. p. is 298-300 C (from ethanol), R= 0.52, yield is 45-75%. Synthesized compounds can be used as stabilizing agents for polymers, accelerating agents for rubber vulcanization. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 2 cl
