Description
The invention relates to the pulp and paper industry and can be used in the manufacture of cardboard.
One of the most simple and effective ways to increase the strength of cellulosic materials is the introduction of various polymeric binders, such as polyacrylamide, starch and its derivatives, and water-soluble cellulose ethers into the pulp composition. However, these substances are too expensive and scarce for use in the composition of a tonnage and cheap material - cardboard.
From an economic point of view, it is more preferable to use as reinforcing additives polymeric substances based on waste and by-products of cellulose production, in particular, lignin-containing products. It is known, for example, that the introduction of lignosulfonates into the composition of paper or paperboard leads to an increase in their strength. Being water-soluble products with a high content of sulfo groups, lignosulfonates are poorly retained on cellulosic fiber and to a significant degree (Y) are removed when casting a web with subgrid f water. In this connection, an increase in the strength characteristics of the resulting product does not occur.
The closest to the present invention is a method of preparing paper pulp, including grinding unbleached SsJ sulphate pulp, introducing into the fiber a dry paste glue, coagulant and hardening additive — e) lignin-containing sludge that forms rolizat wood (caramel), the use of this sediment in the composition of paper from unbleached pulp leads to improved physical and mechanical properties of paper and increase the degree of sizing. However, testing of this sediment as a reinforcing agent for processing cardboard showed that the gains in strength achieved are not large and do not allow for a dramatic improvement in product quality.
Цель изобретени - повышение качества картона и снижение расхода канифольного кле при сохранении степени проклейки .The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of cardboard and reduce the consumption of rosin glue while maintaining the degree of sizing.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The essence of the invention is that before pulp molding the paper pulp is treated with lignin-containing sediment formed during the inversion of aqueous wood prehydrolysates - caramel, which is subjected to modification to increase its hydrophilic properties and retention on cellulosic fiber. The modification process consists in the introduction of tertiary amine groups into the composition of a caramel when interacting with dimethylamine and formaldehyde (the Mannich reaction) according to the scheme:

This treatment leads to an increase in the functional groups of caramel, capable of forming hydrogen bonds with the surface hydroxyl groups of the cellulose fiber, to the hydroxyl and carboxyl groups after the modification, tertiary amine groups are added. The latter reduce the negative charge of caramel macromolecules, which contributes to an increase in their sorption on cellulosic fiber.
In tab. Figure 1 shows retention indicators for unmodified (in the numerator) and modified (in the denominator) caramel on cellulose fiber.

2.Example 1 (prototype) The caramel formed when the prehydrolysates were inverted at the Bratsk Bio-Chemical Plant were dissolved in 0.1N. a solution of sodium hydroxide at the rate of 75 ml of solution per 1 g of absolutely dry caramel. Presented in table. 2 data indicate that the introduction of a significant amount of amine groups to the caramel composition, which increases its hydrophilicity, leads to an increase in its effectiveness as a hardening additive.

5, the modification does not adversely affect the degree of sizing of the castings. Moreover, the increase in caramel retention due to the introduction of amine groups has a positive effect on the sizing process,
0,5%.0 as in example 4 there is almost the same degree of sizing, as for castings with additives of unmodified caramel, although it was achieved at an adhesive consumption of not 1.0, but 0.5%.
5 Thus, the application of the proposed method of processing paper pulp for the production of paperboard makes it possible to increase its quality indicators and to reduce the consumption of sizing agents while maintaining the degree of sizing.
