Abstract
The invention relates to experimental medicine, specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used to study the effect of different exogenous and endogenous factors against the background of low intraocular pressure. The purpose of the invention is to approach the clinical course by disrupting the regulation of intraocular pressure. The ratio between the sympathetic and parasympathetic regulation of intraocular pressure is altered by repeated repeated instillations of a 0.1% solution of adrenaline in an animal's eye, for example, a cat. The instillations are carried out for 15–20 min at intervals of 0.5–2.0 min. It is possible to achieve a long-term (up to 3 days) ophthalmohypotonia without traumatic impact on the eye through its own physiological mechanisms.
Description
The invention relates to experimental medicine, specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used in studying the effects of various exogenous and endogenous factors against the background of low intraocular pressure.
Цель изобретени - приближение к клиническому течению за счет нарушени регул ции внутреннего давлени .The purpose of the invention is to approach the clinical course by disrupting the regulation of internal pressure.
The method is carried out as follows.
An animal, such as a cat, is fixed in the machine in a position on the stomach. Repeated instillations were carried out in one eye in a drop of 0.1% aqueous solution of epinephrine for 15–20 min with an interval between instillations of 0.5–2.0 min. During exposure, after a brief slight decrease in intraocular pressure, its subsequent increase in both eyes by 8-14 mm Hg after the instillations is stopped, and ophthalmic hypertension after 3090 minutes. followed by severe hypotension (10-12 mm Hg) also in both eyes, held for 2-3 days,
A cat weighing 4.3 kg was placed in the machine. According to the generally accepted method, intraocular pressure was measured. It was 18mm Hg. In the conjunctival cavity of the right eye of the animal, 1 drop of a 0.1% adrenaline solution was instilled within 18 minutes with an interval of 1 minute, and the intraocular pressure was measured after each instillation.
Received data presented in the table.
Thus, 18 min after instillation of the (ad minute) adrenaline solution, the Ophthalmotonus increased to 27 mm Hg. 30 minutes after the termination of the instillations, the Ophthalmotonus returned to normal. After 1.5 h, the hypotonia persisted (10 mmHg). The achieved level of hypotension was maintained for 2 days.

Ophthalmotonus was then restored to the initial level
The advantages of the inventive method are as follows.
It is possible to achieve a sufficiently long (up to 3 days) ophthalmohypotonia without a traumatic effect on the animal's eye, but by using its own physiological mechanisms. This greatly expands the possibilities of studying the mechanisms of regulation of intraocular pressure. It is possible to study the effectiveness of treating eye hypotonia.
