Abstract

FIELD: engine construction. SUBSTANCE: Stirling engine has cylinder 1 with upper cover 2, where heat source container 4 is positioned. Displacing piston 5 and working piston 6 define hot cavity 7 and cold cavity 8 in cylinder. Hot and cold cavities are communicated via heater 9, regenerator 10 and cooler 11. Heater 9 is made in the form of disk with radial slots 13 and 14 for receiving inserts having rectangular, L-shaped, T-shaped or U-shaped section. Engine is operated under the action of thermal- physical processes. Construction of heater allows reliability of engine to be increased by elimination of low-reliability heating tube from construction and by improved quality of welded joints and easy access to welded joints. Heat source container 4 and heat source itself are interconnected by solder or by welding so that there is no air space between them. This together with increased section facilitating transfer of heat from heat source to heater and hot cavity, increase reliability of engine by reduced heat transfer resistance between heat source and heater. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 cl, 8 dwg
