Abstract
FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: reaction mixture is poured into reaction vessel and compacted. Reaction vessel is sealed with a cover 4, rotor starts rotating and is pressed against reaction mixture. Combustion reaction in reaction mixture is activated with the help of initiating unit 5. Combustion products in the form of finely divided powder of highly-melting compound are removed from reaction vessel through a gap between rotor and lateral wall of reaction vessel. Rotor rotation stops after it reaches reaction vessel bottom. Cover 4 is taken off and ready powder is removed from reaction vessel. 97,7 per cent of particles of received titanium carbide powder have dimensions less than 20 mcm. EFFECT: simplified process. 1 dwg
