Abstract
The invention provides a solution to the problem of the construction of a filter plate with optimum yield of filtrate starting with the active surface of the membrane for a minimum energy consumption. The apparatus comprises essentially a set of filter plates clamping the membranes. Each plate 1 is in the shape of a lozenge with rounded summits. In the vicinity of the acute-angled summits flow orifices 7 and 8 are arranged, communicating with notched channels 11 which become separated radially and, in step with the distancing, the width of the channel increases and its depth decreases, so that the section of the channel remains constant over its whole length. <IMAGE>
