(54) METHOD OF EXPANSION OF INHALED BY HUMAN AIR WITH CARBONIC GAS
(57) The invention relates to medicine and can be used for therapeutic purposes to stimulate breathing. The purpose of the invention is to increase the carbon dioxide content in the inhaled air due to the fact that activated carbon soaked in a weak alkali solution is placed in the breathing apparatus. The proposed method allows to increase the COA content in the inhaled air by about 2 times compared with the known method.
д.The invention relates to medicine and can be used for therapeutic purposes to stimulate breathing in order to compensate for the lack of oxygen in the ambient air (when flying on airplanes, mountain climbing, etc.), to improve the functioning of the respiratory organs (lungs, chest) in patients with poisoning with some harmful gases, such as carbon monoxide, etc.
The aim of the invention is to increase the carbon dioxide content in the inhaled air by placing activated carbon impregnated with a weak alkali solution in the respiratory device.
The method is carried out as follows.
The breathing apparatus is connected by a rubber sleeve to the mask, which is put on the tester's face. The mask has two nozzles that are connected with hoses to a high-speed gas analyzer for carbon dioxide using hoses. With this gas analyzer, the concentration of COA is measured while the patient is breathing through the apparatus. The nature of changes in the concentration of carbon dioxide during inhalation and exhalation is fixed on a chart paper with the help of a plotter connected to a gas analyzer.
Activated carbon soaked with a 3-5% solution of alkali is placed in the breathing apparatus.
1,75%.Example. When using the apparatus with activated carbon pretreated with a saturated solution of sodium bicarbonate and then dried, the concentration of CO2 in air at the beginning of the inhalation of the patient was on average 4.75%, at the end of the inhalation about 1.6%. For the application of alkali, the concentration of CO 2 at the beginning of inhalation averaged 4.5%, at the end of inhalation about 1.75%.
1.1 %.When breathing through a sorbent-impregnated apparatus with alkali, the accumulation of CO in the inhaled air for 1 min averaged 1.95%, while using sorbent without soaking it with alkali, this indicator was only 1.1%.
