Description
The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the design of the anode pin of a electrolyzer for producing aluminum with an upper current lead and a self-firing anode.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the energy consumption for electrolysis by reducing the voltage drop at the anode pin-anode junction.
The drawing shows an anode pin placed in a self-burning anode.
An aluminum electrolysis cell, having a solid sintered part 1 and a liquid 2, placed in a steel 3, is self-baking the anode through electrical pins with a cylindrical steel rod 4, fitted in the lower part, baked into the anode with a rectangular thread.
7.Inside the pin has a cavity 5, made in aide of a truncated cone. Radial holes 7 are made in its side walls in contact with the liquid anode mass in order to fill the cavity 6 that forms under the rod.
The device works as follows.
When the minimum allowed by the technological instruction is reached, the pin 4 (point a) to the bottom of the anode 1 disconnects the clip holding the aluminum rod to the anode frame and begins to unscrew the pin upwards from the lower end of the rod 4 pin (point a) to the anode base. (to point b). Liquid anode mass 2 and part
Конусность полости в стержне 4 обеспечивает минимальное усилие при разъединении штыр и тела анода, а также затекание ЖАМ в пустоты.it, flowing into cavity 5 through holes 7 begins to flow (as indicated by arrows) into cavity 6. To ensure reliable electrical contact, the thread on the lower outer part of steel rod 4 is rectangular, which eliminates the breakthrough of anodic liquid mass (JAM). After shifting the pins to a higher horizon, the rods are attached to the anode frame with clips. The nodding mass under the rod cokes in the high temperature zone, its volatile components are removed through the cavity 5. The taper of the cavity in the rod 4 provides minimal force when separating the pin and the anode body, as well as the leakage of JAM into the voids.
При выполнении штыр согласно изобретению достигаетс снижение падени напр жени в анодном массиве примерно на 150 мВ и улучшаетс качество спекшегос монолитного анода ввиду отсутстви сквозных трещин под нижней частью штыр .When performing the pin according to the invention, the voltage drop in the anode array is reduced by about 150 mV and the quality of the monolithic anode is improved due to the absence of through cracks under the bottom of the pin.
