Description
The invention relates to welding, in particular for conducting arc welding with a tungsten electrode of a refractory metal.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the service life and improve the stability of the arc discharge.
The drawing shows the proposed electrode.
5.The electrode consists of the rod 1 and the working part 2. In the rod 1 there are two symmetrical grooves 3. On the rod 1 there is a fixing sleeve 4 with an annular recess. The ring undercut forms cavities with grooves for placement of activating additives in the form of tablets 5.
Welding is carried out in a controlled atmosphere chamber. A power source such as VSVU-630 is used. Operating mode: Tsv 220 A; 11 arc 11 V; VCB 6 m / h.
10.The diameter of the electrode used is 6 mm, type VL-10.
As activating additives 5 (source of free electrons), two tablets of the type TEK-TK, 0 4.7 mm with the work function equal to 2.85 EV, are used,
Tablets are installed using a fixing sleeve 4 and two symmetrical grooves 3 on the electrode 1 at a distance of 15 mm from the working end. When the electrode is heated, the tablets emit to the hot surface of the electrode and to the arc plasma an additional amount of free electrons, which in the dynamics of their movement significantly affect the stability of the process and improves the energy release of the arc discharge.
Улучше (ЛDue to the improvement of the welding-technological properties of a tungsten electrode, the ability to re-excite the arc discharge and maintain its stable burning increases, which reduces the number of process stops, thereby saving materials, electric power and reducing equipment wear. Improving the erosion resistance of the electrode leads to a decrease in the consumption of the electrode, and also provides a more stable spatial position of the arc, which has a positive effect on the quality of the weld.
