Description
The invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely, to structural steel with high plastic and damping properties, used to manufacture parts of cryogenic technology operating at temperatures as low as -166 ° C.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the strength, ductility and toughness at temperatures down to -196 C.
Four melts were conducted in a 60 kg induction furnace in a crucible with a base lining. Electrodes are forged from melted ingots and remelted on an electro-slag furnace. The melted ingots are forged on rods, and then samples are made from them to determine the mechanical properties. Before mechanical testing, the specimens are subjected to heat treatment (quenching 1050 ° C, holding for 30 minutes and cooling in water). The chemical composition and properties of steel are given in the table.
The proposed steel possesses such a combination of strength plastic properties and toughness, at which the durability and performance of parts of equipment of cryogenic equipment increase.
