Abstract

FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: reflex-reflector has panel made of transparent material and limited by flat refracting surface 1 and reflecting surface 2 with is made in form of set of adjoining triangular retro-reflexing cells with angle between faces equal to 90 degrees. Device has also back-up 3 with surface following the shape of reflecting surface 2 of panel. Applied to above indicated surface of back-up 3 is mirror layer 4. Back-up proper is separated from panel by clearance whose value τ is found from equation l < τ < 0,3b, where λ - operating wavelength; b - width of faces 5 of retro-reflexing cells. Rays 6 which are incident on faces 5 at angle greater than maximum angle of total internal reflection are retro-reflexed without losses, and rays 7 which pass through one of faces 5 of cell are retro-reflexed owing to provision of mirror layer 4 at minimum losses in layer. EFFECT: increased reflecting capability of reflex-reflector with preservation of wide range of operating angles. 2 dwg
