Abstract
The invention relates to the enrichment of minerals and can be used in the flotation of graphite. The purpose of the invention is to increase the recovery of carbon into the concentrate while reducing its ash content and consumption of reagents by increasing the hydrophobization of the surface of the mineral particles. The method of flotation of hard-to-enter graphite ores includes pretreatment of pulp in grinding with caustic soda, subsequent conditioning with a collector, a blowing agent, and the release of carbon into the frothy product. Caustic soda is first mixed with the distillation distillation bottoms at a ratio of from 20: 1 to 25: 1 before being introduced into the grinding process. At the same time, the bottoms residue of the caprolactam distillation exhibits a new property — it is an activator of the flotation of a hard graphite ore. The application of the method allows to increase the extraction of carbon into concentrate by 3.0-3.2%, reduce its ash content by 1.9-2.2% and the consumption of reagents by 1.8 times.

25:1.The essence of the flotation method, which includes the processing of pulp in the grinding of caustic soda, the subsequent conditioning with the collector, the frother and the release of graphite into the foam product, is that pre-caustic soda is mixed with the distillation residue of caprolactam from a ratio of 20: 1 to 25: 1 .
Studies have shown that the bottoms residue of the distillation of caprolactam exhibits a new property — it is an activator of the flotation of a hard graphite ore.

25:1.The ratio of caustic soda and the bottoms of the distillation of caprolactam is determined by the number of phenolic and other acid groups and ranges from 20: 1 to 25: 1.
The use of a mixture of reagents in this ratio makes it possible to increase the extraction of carbon into the concentrate while reducing the ash content of the concentrate.
When the ratio of caustic soda and the bottom residue of distillation of caprolactam is less than 20: 1, the phenol groups are not fully neutralized.
When the ratio of caustic soda and the bottom residue of the distillation of caprolactam is greater than 25: 1, there is not enough activation and hydrophobization of graphite sites with residual oxygen-containing groups.
The method is carried out as follows.
A portion of the graphite ore is mixed with water to form a pulp, placed in a ball mill, a mixture of caustic soda and the bottoms of caprolactam distillation is added, and crushed. Затем во флотационную машину подают воздух и производ т флотацию.agent blowing agent, for example T-80, followed by contacting. Air is then introduced into the flotation cell and floated.
39,3-39,0%.The use of a mixture of caustic soda and VAT residue of distillation of caprolactam in the ratio of 20: 1-25: 1 increases carbon recovery in concentrate from 85.9% to 88.9% -89.1% while reducing the ash content from 41.2% to 39 3-39.0%.
At the same time, the consumption of reagents is reduced by 1.8 times.
