Abstract
FIELD: organic chemistry, heterocyclic substances. SUBSTANCE: product: 2,3-2,4- and 3,4-dimethylthiophenes. Synthesis is carried out by reaction of dimethylenecyclobutanes with dimethyldisulfide, dimethyltrisulfide or their mixture at molar ratio (2-3):1, at 460-500 C. Under these conditions the yield of the end products is increased from 22% to 45-52%, catalyst use is excluded. Synthesized compounds can be used for synthesis bioactive substances and electroinsulating polymers. EFFECT: new method of dimethylthiophenes, simplified technology, decreased cost of raw base. 2 cl
