Description
The invention relates to medical equipment, namely to diagnostic ophthalmic devices, and is intended for the study of color perception.
The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy of color vision studies.
The drawing shows a diagram of the described nystagmanomaloscope.
A polaroid nystagmanomaloscope contains two identical illuminators 1 and 2, in front of which are installed polaroids 3 10 and 4 with mutually perpendicular directions of the polarization planes. Inside the illuminators there are interchangeable color and neutral filters, with which you can change the color and brightness of the light emanating from the illuminators. The optical axis of the illuminators are located at an angle to one another.
12.Polaroids 5-10 are mounted close to each other on the matte screen 11, made in the form of rectangular strips with 20 mutually perpendicular, alternating between themselves the directions of the polarization planes, which coincide with the polarization planes of polaroids 3 and 4, respectively, located in front of the illuminators. The directions of the planes of polarization in polaroids 3-10 are conventionally indicated by dashed lines in the drawing. The screen 11 is mounted with the possibility of reciprocating motion perpendicular to the direction of the strips, which is carried out using the mechanism 12.
Behind the screen 11, a restrictive diaphragm 13 is installed so that no other objects fall into the field of view of the subject's eyes 14. The device kit includes a telescope 15 for observation by the well-known technique of optokinetic nystagmus of the eye 14, which occurs involuntarily in a patient when he sees a moving object.
A polaroid nystagmanomaloscope is 40 as follows.
10.Light from one illuminator through polaroid 3 and polaroids 5, 7 and 9 falls on the matte screen 11. On screen 11, an image of alternating illuminated 45 (bright) bands corresponding to the shape and location on screen 11 of polaroids 5, 7 and 9, and unlit ( dark) vertical stripes corresponding to the shape and position on the screen of the polaroids 6, 8 and 10.
The second illuminator works similarly, but due to the mutually perpendicular direction of the polarization planes of polaroids 3 and 4 on the screen 11, the strips obtained corresponding to the shape and position of the polaroids 6, 8 and 10 will be illuminated. Both illuminators in the device work simultaneously. The relative positions of their optical axes, the alignment of polaroids 5–10 provide a combination of the illuminated bands received from the first illuminator with the illuminated bands from the second illuminator in such a way that at the same positions of the filters in both illuminators, a uniform illuminated field is obtained on screen 11.
Changing the position of the color and neutral filters of both illuminators during the reciprocating motion of the opaque screen 11, in the lumen of the diaphragm 13, images of horizontal or vertical colors of one or two colors of different brightness are reciprocating horizontally. Through the telescope 15, the researcher observes the optokinetic nystagmus of the eye 14 of the subject.
