Предлагаемый способ отличаетс  от известных тем, что он обеспечивает непрерывное измерение толщины прокатываемой ленты и фольги . На выходе усилител  величина э.ектрического сигнала, полученна  в виде падени  напр жени  на сопротивлении  вл етс  функцией толщины прокатываемой ленты или фольги. Это напр жение подаетс  на потенциометр 2, соединенный с датчико.м. При изменении толщины прокатываемого металла замыкаютс  контакты, которые включают реле 3, воздействующее на нажимное приспособление 4 лентоирокатного стана при прокате ленты, или регистоируют скорость электродвигател  при прокате фольги.The meter / thickness consists of a radiation source, a radiation recorder and an amplifier.
