Abstract
FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cable conductor is covered in succession with three layers of insulation. First layer adjacent to conductor and designed to equalise electric field between conductor and main insulation is prepared from compound containing in its composition siloxane rubber, silica filler, anti-cross-linking dope plasticizer, thermal stabilizer, low-temperature and high-temperature organic peroxides. After this layer is applied by extrusion, conductor is passed through curing chamber, strengthened by thermal treatment under condition of curing low-temperature organic peroxide at 120-140 C, second layer of main insulation is also applied by extrusion, its composition being as follows: low-density polythene, thermal stabilizer, epoxy resin, ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer, activator, and high-temperature organic peroxide; this compound is cooled down to 80-90 C. Then third layer of same composition as first layer is applied, conductor is passed through curing chamber, strengthened by thermal treatment under condition of curing low-temperature peroxide at atmospheric pressure, covered with lead or aluminium sheath, passed through curing chamber, and cured under condition of high-temperature peroxide curing at 180-220 C. EFFECT: improved operating reliability due to elimination of gas inclusions between sheath and insulation and between the latter and conductor, reduced material input and manufacturing cost. 3 tbl
