Abstract
ФThe invention relates to geochemical prospecting methods based on measuring concentration of gaseous elements and their compounds in the atmosphere, and can be used to search for ore deposits. In order to increase the accuracy of detecting the proportion of endogenous mercury in the atmosphere, concentrations of mercury and radon are measured at two levels, one of which is located on the soil surface and the other at a height h of at least 1m, and the relative proportion of endogenous mercury is determined by the ratio of concentrations of mercury and radon. The invention relates to geochemical prospecting methods based on measuring the concentrations of gaseous elements and their compounds in the atmosphere and can be used before prospecting for ore deposits.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of detecting the proportion of endogenous mercury in the atmosphere,
The method is implemented in the following sequence of operations.
Samples of mercury and radon are taken from Air at a height of not less than I m above rtOBepxHocTbK) of the earth and at the same points on the surface of the earth (sampling means in the second case are isolated from open atmospheric air). Concentrations of mercury and radon are measured in selected samples. At certain concentrations, the proportion of endogenous mercury K is estimated from the expression

Compared to the prototype, the proposed method provides not only more reliable information about the presence of mercury-gas ghosting, but also the possibility of oijieHHTb, which part of the total concentration of mercury is endogenous piyTb and which part is mercury brought from remote, inopportune origin of sources.
