Description
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to dz1 ingot casting devices, and can be used to produce forged pasHoi ingots, one mold height.
The purpose of the invention is to accelerate the crystallization and cooling of the ingot, as well as to increase the yield of the metal during forging.
The drawing is a diagram of the proposed device.
The device consists of a thin-walled downwardly enlarged mold 1 with a variable wall thickness along the edges and in height, a massive floating tray 2 and mounting rings 3 for adjusting the height of the ingot. At the bottom
The end of the mold is made symmetrical through arcuate (in the shape of a second-order curve) notches A, located in the center of the faces.
The device works as follows.
On the pallet 2 is placed mounting rings 3, the number or height of which is selected depending on the desired height of the resulting ingot. Then on the ring 3 set the heated mold 1 symmetrically with respect to the protruding portion of the pallet. The existing technological gap between the mold and the tray is sealed with blasting asbestos and the form assembled in this way is poured with metal.
After the metal is poured, the lower part of the thin-walled mold is heated quickly (for example, during the first 3 minutes to 700 ° C) and expands, resulting in a gap between the cooler pan and the mold. By this time, a gap is formed between the ingot and the mold as a result of the formation of a hard solid crust in the ingot and its shrinkage during solidification. A cold air inflow begins in the formed gap through the bottom 4 at the end of the mold, which, when heated from the lower parts of the ingot, transfers heat to its lucrative part, keeping it in a hotter state until the end of crystallization. The heat sink from the ingot is sifted and the principle of directional solidification from bottom to top is maintained, ensuring a high yield of suitable metal.
After complete solidification (cooling and cooling of the ingot of a given temperature, the mold is removed and the ingot is removed from the device.
The process then repeats.
The height of the through cuts should be within 0.03-0.05 of the average ingot diameter, and the width is 0.6-0.7 of the face width. With this, an increase in the height of the cut beyond the predetermined limits reduces the useful volume of the mold, and a decrease in height makes it difficult for air to enter the resulting gaps.
The cut-out shape (second-order curve) is due to the design of the wall of the mold and takes into account the effect of the curvature of the inner surface of the face and the difference in thickness on the temperature of the wall of the mold over the cross-section of the face, providing a directed air flow through the gap between the wall of the mold and the ingot.
The use of the proposed device allows to increase the yield of the metal during forging up to 85-9% and reduce the cooling time of the ingot.
