The invention relates to a testing technique and can be used to estimate the size and unevenness of the surface layer of products after processing.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability and simplification of the study of titanium thin sections subjected to heat treatment and simplify the study.
The method is carried out as follows.
При значени х, больших 2,5%, трещина выходит за размеры сло .In a sample of a titanium alloy subjected to heat treatment, metallographic grinding is perpendicular to the surface layer and the sample is deformed by stretching. The deformation is carried out before the formation of cracks in the surface layer, oriented perpendicular to its surface. The deformation is carried out on the amount of plastic deformation of 1.5-2.0%. The direction of deformation and the surface of the thin section are parallel. At the same time, the number of cracks stabilizes and does not occur from the surface layer into the sample into the base material. At values of plastic deformation of less than 1.5%, the cracks do not spread over the entire depth of the layer and their unevenness occurs. At values greater than 2.5%, the crack goes beyond the size of the layer.
Metallographic grinding can also be carried out after deformation. The number of cracks and their length are measured and, according to the values obtained and the distribution of cracks, the size and unevenness of the surface layer are judged.

Среднее значение-i 1 длины 1 трещины составило 31,3 мкм, коэффициент k неравномерности толщины сло - k (Cylindrical samples with a diameter of 10 mm and a working section length of 100 mm of the titanium alloy VTZ-1 were heat treated in air for 10 hours at 873 K. The loading was carried out on a testing machine UME-10 TM until plastic deformation was equal to 2%. Measurement of cracks was performed with a microscope BMI-1C with an accuracy of 1 μm. The mean value-i 1 of the length 1 of the crack was 31.3 μm, the coefficient k of the unevenness of the layer thickness is k
