The invention relates to analytical chemistry, and in particular to methods for the quantitative determination of impurities in alumina using the method of x-ray spectral analysis.
Целью изобретени вл етс повышение воспроизводимости результатов рентгеноспектрального определени за счет снижени температуры сплавлени смеси и повышени однородности образца .The aim of the invention is to increase the reproducibility of the X-ray spectral detection results by lowering the fusion temperature of the mixture and increasing the uniformity of the sample.
Дл приготовлени образца используют смесь дл рентгеноспектрального определени примесей в электрокондун де, содержащзпо электрокорунд, углекислый литий и йодистый калий, в которую добавл ют тетраборат натри , при этом соотношение ингредиентов следующее, мас.%:For sample preparation, a mixture is used for the X-ray spectral determination of impurities in an electric condensate containing electrocorundum, lithium carbonate and potassium iodide, to which sodium tetraborate is added, the ratio of ingredients being as follows, wt.%:
Electrocorundum Carbonic Lithium
Potassium iodide tetraborate sodium
The introduction of sodium tetraborate reduces the fusion temperature of the mixture before and increases the flux decomposing ability, as a result of which aluminum oxide most fully dissolves in the flux and forms a homogeneous melt, when solidified, the resulting sample has practically no defects.
Example. From a mixture of this composition, samples were made by fusing it in a muffle furnace at 1000 ° C on a graphite substrate and then pressing it in a hand press. Examination of the obtained samples under an optical microscope showed the absence of shells, cracks on the surface of samples, as well as dots and areas of different color.
1.The compositions of the mixtures from which the samples were made are presented in tab. one.

The fabricated samples were analyzed on a X-ray fluorescence quantometer KRF-1B to determine the concentration of oxides SiOj, CaO, and TiO in the sample under study.
In tab. Figure 2 shows the relative mean square deviation (coefficient of variation) characterizing the reproducibility of the analysis of samples made from mixtures with different component ratios.
As can be seen from the table. 2, the smallest value of the relative standard deviation (coefficient of variation) was obtained for a sample made from mixture 3, which characterizes its best homogeneity.
Изобретение обеспечивает возможность использовани экспрессного метода рентгеноспектрального анализа примесного состава электрокорунда в промьш1ленных услови х, что позвол ет повысить качество выпускаемой продукции .The invention provides the possibility of using the express method of X-ray spectral analysis of the impurity composition of electrocorundum under industrial conditions, which allows improving the quality of the products produced.
