However, the content of alloying elements in it is fundamentally changed, which is associated with the need to ensure high initial ductility of the joints and the required crack resistance (against hot cracks) while maintaining them stably austenitic. microstructure and corrosion resistance, the content of chromium and nickel in the metal powder, is set according to the ratio (chromium / nickel) in the range of 0.45 - 0.50. At the same time, the boundary limits of chromium and nickel in the metal powder are assigned taking into account their optimal appearance structure, corrosion strength, initial ductility of joints and their resistance to the formation of hot cracks.

Samples (sheet plates 200 x 150 x X mm in size made of EP-794 steel) are welded in the same modes with constant heat input. Welded specimens are subjected to mechanical and corrosion tests — at bending angles, stretching and in 85–98% nitric acid at. The presence of hot cracks in the seams is monitored by metallographic. The following indicators of the properties of the base metal, EP-794f, bending angle 180 °, relative elongation 35-40, total corrosion rate in the specified medium 0.1-0.15 mm / year, are taken as the quality criterion for weld seams.
The compositions of the coatings and properties of the welded joint shown in the table show that the introduction of silicon dioxide from 6 to 12 wt.% In the coating contributes to a sharp increase in the corrosion resistance of the weld, lowering it to 6 wt.% Contributes little to improving the specified quality indicator, and exceeding

There is a large amount of eutectic, which helps to improve the resistance of welds against hot cracks, nevertheless, eutectics is responsible for imparting low plastic properties to them (intermetallic compounds fall out in the eutectic — the silicide phase and others that cause ductility of the metal). When the powder contains chromium and nickel, assigned above their balanced ratio of 0.50, the welds exhibit reduced process strength and ductility, This causes hot cracks to form during crystallization, and the relative elongation is much lower than the required values.
