Description
Known methods for the preparation of low pressure chlorosulfirane polyethylene in the presence of a dinitrile hydrazoposobutyric acid catalyst are known.
The proposed method of producing low pressure chlorosulfonated polyethylene is characterized in that the chlorosulfonation process is carried out in a chlorobenzene solvent, which allows chlorosulfurising polyethylene of any molecular weight.
Example 1. In a four-necked round-bottom flask with a capacity of 1 l, equipped with a stirrer, a mercury valve, a bubbler and a thermometer sleeve (on thin sections), 570 ml of chlorobenzene are added and heated.
Выход сульфохлорида 21,5 г с содержанием хлора 27,7% и серы .17 g of polyethylene (with a molecular weight of 152,000) are introduced into benzene heated to a temperature of 115 ° C in small portions. Within 1.5 hours at a temperature of 120-125 °, the polyethylene is dissolved. To the resulting solution, 6.5 g of porophor (half amount) dissolved in 15 ml of chlorobenzene are added, and sulfochlorination is started with a mixture of chlorine and sulfur dioxide. The chlorine feed rate was 1.76 mg1 sec and sulfur dioxide 0.9 mg1 sec. After 20 minutes, the temperature is reduced to 98 ° and further sulfo.chlorination is carried out at 98-96 °. The second half of the porophor was added 1 hour after the start of the sulfonchlorination. The total reaction time is 2 hours. At the end of the process, the reaction mass is flushed with nitrogen at 70-75 ° to remove adsorbed gases, diluted with acetone in a 1: 1 ratio (by volume) and precipitated with methanol. The precipitated product (rubbery mass) is squeezed from methanol, crushed and dried at 70-75 °. The output of sulfochloride 21.5 g with a chlorine content of 27.7% and sulfur.
Example 2. A four-neck round-bottom flask with a capacity of 2.i was charged with 1150 ml of chlorobenzene, heated to 115 °, then 68 g of polyethylene (68000 molecular weight) at 115-125 ° were introduced in small portions for 1 hour and 15 minutes . After the polyethylene is dissolved, 0.34 g of the porophor dissolved in 25 ml of chlorobenzene is added to the solution. Sulfochlorination is carried out for 1 hour when chlorine is fed through the rheometer 9.4 mg / sec and sulfur dioxide 1.06 mg / sec. The temperature during sulfochlorination is initially 120-98 ° (within 30 minutes), and then 98-96 °. A second portion of the porophor is added 0.5 hours after the start of the reaction. At the end of the process, the reaction mass is purged with nitrogen and planted with steam. In the dried after grinding product {drying temperature 65-70 °), 22.2% chlorine and 1.75% sulfur are found. The output of sulfochloride 87.5 g
