Description
A conductive sensor of electrolytic liquids is known, which consists of excitation and differential toroidal transformers with a liquid communication circuit between them.
90The described sensor of conductometer of electrolytic liquids is more sensitive than the known one. This is achieved by the fact that the electrical resistance of its fluid circuit is concentrated in the sections passing through the toroids, while the cross section of the remaining sections is maximized and the toroids are arranged so that their axes intersect the node with an angle of 90
The drawing shows a schematic of the sensor.
90.With this electrolytic fluid entering the sensor in the direction of arrow A, the resistance of the fluid circuit consists of the resistances of individual sections a, b, c, d, e and is determined by the length and cross-section of the pipes that make up these sections (arrow B) . The lengths and sections of pipes in sections b and e are determined during the design of the sensor and are interrelated with the dimensions of the exciting and differential toroidal transformers TI and TZ. The pipes in sections a, c, and d can be chosen such that the active resistance they create is much less than the resistance of sections b and d. As a result, the resistance of the fluid circuit will be minimal and concentrated in areas b and d passing through the toroids, and the sensitivity maximum. However, if the toroids (transformers G and T) are arbitrarily located, then the sensitivity will not reach the maximum value, since the direct electromagnetic connection between them (besides the liquid communication loop) is parasitic. The smaller the magnitude of this parasitic electromagnetic coupling, the higher the sensitivity of the sensor. The maximum sensitivity of the sensor is achieved with this arrangement of toroids, when their axes intersect at an angle of 90.
