The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of welded joints. To do this, after heating the ends of the parts to be welded, the reflow is carried out with a constant, relatively low rate of convergence of the welded blanks. The reflow rate is judged by the welding current. At the moment when the welding current reaches the maximum value corresponding to the maximum value of the reflow rate, a draft is involved. This regulates the moment of incorporation of precipitation, when the parts to be welded have the necessary heating and are protected from oxidation. (L ISD with 4 SL CO
Description
The invention relates to flash butt welding, mainly to welding products of large cross sections under field conditions, in installations fed from sources of electric power of limited power.
The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of welded joints, especially when welding large sections of products on machines powered by electric power sources of limited power.
The welding method is as follows.
Осадку включают в момент достижени сва- рочным током максимального значени что соответствует максимальному значению скорости оплавлени .By the time the required heating is achieved during the flash welding process, the melting rate is determined by the magnitude of the welding current. Draft is included at the moment when the welding current reaches the maximum value, which corresponds to the maximum value of the reflow rate.
In the proposed method, upon reaching the required heating, the fusion is carried out with a constant, relatively low speed of discharge: the welded blanks.
It was established experimentally that with such a melting, the change in current is wave-like. This is due to the fact that at a constant rate of approaching the blanks, the rate of fusion of their ends is not constant. The rate of melting takes the minimum and maximum values, determines the nature of the change in welding current. Such a process is caused by a change in the nature of the formation of existence and the destruction of elementary contacts between fused ends. With a low rate of approach (not more than 0.5 mm / s) at a certain moment a certain small amount of elementary contacts are formed. Due to their small number, the power in each is large enough, and this causes a low duration of their existence. With further convergence, the number of simultaneously existing contacts increases, reaching at some point the maximum value. At this point, the most favorable conditions are created to protect the fused surfaces from oxidation. Подобным образом процесс протекает с достаточной дл включени осадки в необходимый момент продолжительностью.mums The explosion of these contacts is accompanied by the release of a relatively large volume of molten metal and an increase in the average length of the spark gap, which, at a relatively low rate of approach of the blanks, causes a decrease in the number of simultaneously existing contacts. The welding current then decreases, reaching a minimum at a certain moment. Similarly, the process proceeds with a sufficient duration to include precipitation at the required moment.
Изобретение регламентирует момент включени осадки, когда свариваемые детали имеют необходимьй нагрев и защищены от окислени .The invention regulates the moment of incorporation of sludge when the parts to be welded are necessary for heating and protected from oxidation.
Under laboratory conditions, a K-190 machine welds billet shafts with a diameter of 140 mm from steel 20X. The rate of approach during welding is set unchanged, equal to 0.4 mm / s. Negative feedback is applied to the welding current, which affects the approaching speed. The specific reflow power is 7VA / mm.
Upon reaching the required heating, the draft is switched on at the maximum value of the welding current in accordance with the invention. The welding time is 240 seconds.
The resulting welded joints are subjected to technological tests with their destruction in the joint zone and the study of fractures. No defects were found in these fractures.
DP comparisons on the same machine are carried out experiments on the welding of billet shafts in a way that increases the rate of convergence before draft. The welding process was not possible due to short circuits at noBbmie-tion of speed.
In welding with a constant approaching speed and the inclusion of upset by displacement, the moment of the start of upsetting coincides with both the minimum and maximum values of the welding current. Therefore, those samples were selected and tested (their number is 30% of the total number), during welding of which the deposit is turned on with the minimum current value.
The results of the tests revealed the presence of a large number of defects such as mat spots. Their total area was about 10% of the fracture area of the welded joints.
The method can find wide applications in welding pipelines for various purposes in field conditions, as well as casing strings above the wellhead.
