Description
The invention relates to gas discharge technology and can be used to create a uniform and stable volume pulse discharge of atmospheric pressure. The aim of the invention is to increase the uniformity and energy input to the discharge of atmospheric pressure, as well as to reduce the size and simplify the design of the electrode system. The invention is illustrated in the drawing, which shows a photograph of the discharge obtained with the help of an electrode. Not shown in the photo are mountings of the current leads. The electrode is connected in parallel thin current channels with resistances distributed in them, isolated and having on one side a common electrical contact with a high voltage source circuit. The resistance of each channel is limiting 02 and reduces the instability of the discharge and the likelihood of inhomogeneities and sparks in the volume discharge. In order to provide a high energy input to the discharge and a small loss on the electrode, in the latter the diameter of the channels and their number is chosen such that the entire electrode HAS a low electrical resistance compared to the resistance of the plasma. For this, the minimum longitudinal conductivity must be within (|| 10 ohms / cm. To eliminate transverse current flow, the maximum total conductivity should not exceed 6, 10 ohms / cm, hence the material anisotropy condition is 6 / (10 V experimental). The sample current channels of the electrode are made of filaments of porous glass with a diameter of 0.3 mm, impregnated with carbon. The filaments are covered with an insulator layer and glued.
