Description
The invention relates to the production of titanium dioxide, specifically to the technology of preparing embryonic in anatase or rutile form, and can be used in the paint industry to produce titanium dioxide by the medium acid method. The aim of the invention is to increase the storage time of the germ and increase the degree of titanium dioxide rutilization. Example 1. To 500 ml of a suspension of GDT (hydrated titanium dioxide) with a concentration of 300 g / dm TiO, 393 cm (40 wt.%) Of NaOH solution is poured. The mass ratio of laOH / TiOj in a mixture of 1.5: 1. The resulting suspension is boiled for 4 hours, then cooled, filtered and the precipitate washed from water-soluble impurities in two stages. The suspension of obtained titanate (1.5 dm) with a concentration of 100 g / dm TiO is divided into two parts. in the first part of 1.0 dm, containing 100 g of TiO, concentrate is introduced

Table 1 hydrochloric acid based on the weight ratio HC1 gTY 0.45: 1 and the reaction mixture is boiled for 1 h, after which a second part with a volume of 0.5 dm or 50.0 g TiO ( 50 wt.% Of TiO from TiO, in the first part) and thermostatically controlled at 80 ° C for 1 hour. The obtained titanium dioxide nuclei c, universal properties are simultaneously anatase and rutilizing, i.e. are universal. For testing, the obtained embryos were introduced for the hydrolysis of titanium sulfate in an amount of 1.5 wt.% By TiOj. The yield on hydrolysis with their use is 95.6 wt.% TiOj, the content of the rutile form of TiOg upon calcination at 850 C. for 2 hours of the hydrolysis product is 98 wt.%. In tab. 1 presents data on the yield on hydrolysis and the degree of TiO's rutilization using the proposed nucleus and the data of comparative examples.

The data presented show that the proposed method allows 4–5 times the use of universal germs to be increased, as well as the degree of TiOg normalization during calcination.
