The invention relates to the abrasive machining of parts. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the labor intensity in determining the depth of tapering by using witness samples with sequentially varying thickness. 1 shows a diagram of the installation of parts and samples; in Fig.2 a section in Fig.1. The workpiece 1 is mounted on the cart 2 of the jetting unit (not shown). In the same plane with the surface of the part 1 to be processed, the cassette 3 is mounted with specimen-witnesses 4 made of the material of a part differing in thickness by an amount equal to the required accuracy of measuring the cartoon depth, and the minimum and maximum thickness of the samples are equal to the minimum maximum expected depth of abrasive penetration into the surface layer 5 of the part. Witness specimens 4 are secured in the cassette 3 with the clips 6. On the specimens 4, the tension surfaces of the specimens 4 and the supporting surfaces 7 of the cage 3 are convex. The jet installation is turned on and with the help of the trolley 2, the part 1 together with the cassette 3 is supplied to the treatment zone, where they are treated with waterjet jets. After the end of the treatment, 3 samples of witnesses 4 are removed from the cassette, and they are subjected to visual examination and microscopic examination. The depth of the cartoon layer of the surface layer is judged by the greatest thickness of the witness sample punched by high-speed abrasive particles. Estimation of the expected depths of caricatures of specific parts is carried out by preliminary processing of a set of samples containing sheets.: Foils with thicknesses of us knowingly crossing the range of possible depths of caricature. Example. A cavitational impulse hydroabrasive treatment of aluminum alloy parts is carried out. As an abrasive material, electrocorundum granularity of 0.25 mm is used. The water supply pressure is 16–18 MPa, the flow rate is 1 l / s, the abrasive slurry concentration is 3040%, the jet meets the treated surface 40 °, the surface is removed from the water nozzle section 180–200 mm, the speed of movement of the part relative to jet 7.5 m / min. The workpiece 1 is installed on the trolley 2. Witness samples 4 are made of the material of the part, i.e. from aluminum alloy in the amount of 5 pieces in the form of sheets of foil with a thickness of 0.03; 0.04; 0.05; 0.06 and 0.07 mm round shape with a diameter of 20 mm. Witness specimens 4 are fixed in Cassette 3 using clamps 6. To ensure the prestressing of the specimens, the support surface 7 of cassette 3 is slightly bent, and to prevent corrugation from the force of the abrasive jet, the internal diameter of the presser 6 8 mm. The cavitation impulse hydroabrasive installation is started and, after reaching the mode, the part 1 and the cassette 3 are transported by means of the carriage 2 to the treatment zone, where with a certain constant speed they move relative to the stationary hydroabrasive jets. After the end of the processing, the sample-witnesses 4 are removed from the cassette 3 and subjected to a visual inspection and then microscopic examination. At the same time, samples were cut out of part 1 and the caricature depth was determined by layer-by-layer etching with a step of 0.005 mm. It was established that the samples are witnesses with a thickness of 0.03; 0.04; and .0.05 mm have through holes. The method of layer-by-layer etching shows that individual single particles of abrasive are introduced to a depth of up to 0.055 mm. Comparison of data on the maximum depth of cartoonizing the surfaces of aluminum alloy parts obtained by proposed and known methods of layer-by-layer etching shows a high convergence of the results, which indicates their uniformity. Thus, the simultaneous jet processing of a part and a set of witness samples made of sheet material with sheets of foil with a thickness of no more and no less, respectively, the maximum and minimum expected sharpening depth, followed by streaming, visual and microscopic examination of samples. determine the maximum actual value of the introduction of abrasive grains into the surface layer of de-tals; inkjet abraded. Since it is indirectly possible to judge the abrasive jet energy from the depth of the cartoon, the proposed method is convenient and applicable for estimating the energy and productivity of the jet. In addition, in view of simplicity and accuracy, the proposed method can be used to periodically control the stability of the waste blasting process for specific parts.
