Description

The invention relates to metal and wood processing, in particular, to devices for clamping workpieces.

The aim of the invention is to expand the operational capabilities by increasing the number of options for securing the products to be treated and simplifying the changeover of the clamping device.

The clamping device contains two clamps 1 and 2 (3 and A), each of which includes an L-shaped rod 5 and 6, on one arm 7 and 8 of which a movable sponge 9 and 10 is mounted, and the other arm is a fixed sponge 11 and 12.

The L-shaped bar 6 of the clamp 1 is made with grooves 13 and 14 on the outer surfaces 15 and 16, and the L-shaped bar 5 of the clamp 2 is filled with figured protrusions 17 and 18 on the surfaces 19 and 20, made (for example, in the form of a dovetail.

The device works as follows.

When processing boards, you can use one, two or more devices, depending on the type of processing and the size of the board.

When processing a short board on the edge, one device is enough, t, e, two clamps 1 and 2. At first clamp 1 is fastened to table 26 by means of screw 25. After that, protrusion 18 of clamp 2 is inserted into groove 14 and thus clamp 2 is fixed on clamp 1. The board is secured with screw 27 of clamp 2.

When machining a short and narrow board at the end, the protrusion 18 of the clamp 2 is inserted into the groove 13.

If it is necessary to process a long or wide board, an additional device is used consisting of clamps 3 and 4.

The board is fastened to the plate with the help of clamps 1 and 2, each of which is fixed on the table 26,

The faces 22 and 23 or 21 and 24 are positioned at a distance that is 1-10 mm less than the length of the board. After that, the board is hammered between the corresponding sharp edges 22 and 23 or 21 and 24, clamps 1 and 2,

The mutual position of clamps 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 may be the most diverse and depends on the shape and size of the clamped product.
