Description

Methods for the preparation of epoxy resins modified with other resins, e.g., phenolic, urea, are widely known.

The proposed method for producing modified epoxy resins by adding to the epoxy resin condensation products of dimethyl resorcin with formaldehyde allows to obtain resins with better adhesion and high heat resistance. The resins produced by the method described are recommended as binders for the production of glass-reinforced plastics. When a combined epoxy resin is dissolved in acetone, a lacquer is obtained and its impregnated fabric is pas based.
