Description

The described machine differs from the known ones in that the sole of the iron is made dihedral, with the angle formed by the faces facing downwards; the iron itself is spring-loaded in the vertical direction and is connected in two ways by two pedals to lower it to the front face for pre-pressing the fold, then to the rear one for final pressing, and the rear face of the iron sole has channels that can be selectively connected by means of manual valves or with a steam chamber of an iron equipped with an electric heating element, or with a pipe of an air pump, for example, in accordance with the author.
