A device for determining the pH of the liquid phase of concretes, including a pH meter, characterized in that, in order to increase the accuracy of the determination, it is provided with a container for mounting the sample under study connected to the hydraulic lock (P and siphon and equipped with a hole made for calcium chloride tube with absorber KSH1YH gases and pH meter electrodes.
Description
1 The invention relates to physico-mechanical studies of porous materials and can be used in determining the pH of the liquid phase of building conglomerates, in particular concretes. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the determination by searching for the error associated with the neutralization of the material by acidic gases of the atmosphere. The drawing shows the proposed device, a General view. The device contains test sample 1, placed in tank 2, hydraulic lock 3, distilled water 4, filling tank 2, siphon 5, calcium chloride tube 6, recess 7 made in the test sample, electrodes 8 of pH meter 9. For testing concrete samples — cubes (777 cm) 1, which were so far in an atmosphere with a high concentration of carbon dioxide (0.3% by volume). A recess 02 of 5.0 cm and a diameter of 3.0 cm was drilled in the center of the samples. The sample was placed in the plexiglass container 2. Through the water seal 3, distilled water 4 was completely poured into the container, thereby removing all air above the sample surface. Then, using the siphon 5, the water was taken in such a way that the liquid did not remain in the sample cavity. At the same time, air from the atmosphere entered the container through a calcium chloride tube 6 filled with an acid gas absorber (activated carbon). As the water surrounding the sample decreases, due to the absorption of concrete by the pores and capillaries, it was added through the water trap (not allowing it to flow over the edge of the sample), until liquid was filtered from the concrete volume in the recess 7. This happened after 32 hours. Starts a constant pH measurement with the help of electrodes 8 of a standard pH meter 9 with stabilization of the pH value at the maximum value, which was taken as the desired one.
