Abstract

Energy saving lamp comprising in the bulb a gas discharge tube, a high frequency switching device close to the bulb and a lamp socket adapted thereto. The invention allows the simple fixing of the high frequency switching device to an incandescent lamp of usual construction with an element which is fixed partly with glue to the collar of the bulb and partly by a dismountable or undismountable connection, to the high frequency switching device. The invention allows to solve the installation problem of the capacitor-filter storing the energy the high frequency switching device by arranging the latter in the cavity of the socket where it takes less than half of the space of such cavity.
