Abstract
--Ly - :-,.., J- wf:,; ... .,, Jf -..... НИЯ .-.-- ,.., ;&r. .; Л A METHOD FOR TREATING DEPRESSIONS by a reflex effect of electric current on the right and left hand, depending on the initial psychopathological picture, characterized by the fact that, in order to shorten the treatment time, the nerve endings of the styloid process of the radial bone are electrified with a frequency of 100. 150 Hz with a pulse duration of 0.5-1.5 ms, voltage for the right limb 9-12 V, for the left 5-8 V for 4-5 min1-2 times a week. --Ly -: -, .., J- wf:,; .... ,, Jf -..... The invention relates to medicine, namely to psychiatry.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the duration of treatment.
The method is carried out as follows.
The patient has sensory bone syntaxis. By increasing the voltage of the direct current, the bone marrow nerve elements are found, i.e. the lowest voltage, which is perceived as a subjective sensation of current shock. In the case of a double reobase, the shortest duration of a rectangular pulse, which is perceived as a sensation of current shock, is found. The latter is sensory chronaxia of the bone nerve elements and is expressed in milliseconds.

After sensory chronaxia has been determined, electrostimulum 1 u.
A needle with mandrin is inserted into the patient in the styloid process of the 5th radius. The mandrin is removed and a bone electrode coated with an insulating varnish is inserted.
The intra bone insertion electrode is active and is connected to the negative pole of the pulse generator. The other electrode is indifferent and is placed on the skin of the middle third of the shoulder of the corresponding side. The ratio of the areas of the electrodes is 1:10. A pulsed electric current is passed for 4–5 minutes, a pulse duration of 0.5–1.5 ms, a voltage of 9–12 V for the right limb, and 5–8 V for the left with a pulse frequency of 100–150 Hz.
