The invention relates to the manufacture of lightweight aggregates from volcanic glass and can be used for the production of expanded perlite. A known method for producing expanded perlite, including crushing the original rock to a particle size of 0.2-0.5 mm, preliminary heat treatment at 300-500 ° C and subsequent firing at 900-1200 ° DJ. The known method is traditional for obtaining under expanded conditions perlite from well-inflated raw materials using furnaces of the vertical type. The closest to the invention to the technical essence and the achieved result is a method for producing expanded perlite, including crushing of the rock, preliminary heat treatment at 350-500С and roasting at 900-1 YUOS 2 A disadvantage of the known methods is their low efficiency when using weakly pulsing, which leads to obtain perlite of a higher bulk weight, an increased yield of fine and dusty fractions less than 0.63 mm and a large variation in the bulk density index, which indicates the instability of the properties in the finished product which is subjected to air separation with the separation of the grain volume weight, i.e. additional communication. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the volume of the mass and increase the yield of large fractions. The goal is achieved by the fact that according to the method for producing expanded perlite, including crushing of the rock, preliminary heat treatment at 350-500 ° C and calcination at 900-1OOO C, the preliminary heat treatment is carried out in a saturated steam environment at a pressure of 100,200 atm. Example. A weakly grown perlite rock from the MukhorTalinskoye deposit is used. The rock was crushed on a hammer mill before the formation of grains with dimensions not exceeding 0.5 mm. Perlite grains are placed in a closed container (autoclave), in which preliminary heat treatment is carried out at 500 ° C in a medium of steam and a pressure of 150 atm for D min. The material is then fired according to the most advanced thermal expansion method in a vertical furnace. The temperature of the torch in the furnace. Get expanded perlite with a bulk weight of 0.18 g / cm. Perlite raw materials from the Jebel and Aragats deposits are subjected to similar processing. Indicators of the properties of the finished product in comparison with the known are presented in the table. Compared with the known method, the proposed method provides a reduction in the volume mass of perlite, and the proportion of large fractions of perlite (over 0.63 mm) increases, which allows the raw materials used to be transferred to a higher quality category, estimated according to GOST 25226-82. So, for example, using the method according to the invention, it is possible to transfer the Muhor-Talinsky perlite from group 3 of class B to group 2, and the Jabel perlite from group 3 of class A to group 1. Pre-hydrothermal treatment results in the transfer of partly molecular water contained in perlite to the associated, which is accompanied by partial dehydration of perlite, which favorably affects your puffiness during firing. This process proceeds most favorably at a pressure of a saturated vapor medium of 100,200 atm with a temperature of 350–500 ° C for 3-5 min. The pressure range of hydrothermal treatment is 100–200 atm due to the natural physicochemical process of restructuring the internal structure with a useful change in the properties of perlite raw materials, which has a positive effect on all types of perlite, regardless of their structural-morphological and other features. The technical effect achieved by restructuring the internal structure of perlite raw materials ensures its transfer to a higher quality category, which positively reflects on a decrease in the bulk mass of exfoliated perlite, an increase in the share of large fractions, additional production from 1 ton of raw material, and an increase in the raw material base. with involvement of active pearlite into the sphere of production of operating enterprises for the construction of unsuitable raw materials.
