Description
Vat dyes obtained by the introduction of halogen in, vat dyes of the series of thioindigo, indigo and indigoid, have more or less similarity in shades with dyes that do not contain chlorine; thus, the halogen-containing dye indigo, although brighter than the indigo itself, still gives blue colors, the halogen-derived thioindigo from. burgundy red to bluish red, halogenated indigoid dyes more or less pure blue. The proposed method of irradiation of blue vat dyes is based on the introduction of halogen by conventional methods into a greenish gray-black dye 2: 3: 2: 3 - bienneftyrnaftenindigo, described in German patent No. 240.118, which mistakenly states that this dye colors in green-blue.
Example 1. 40 parts of bromine were added to suspension 40 parts of 2: 3: 2: 3 bisnaphthionofendendigo in 400 parts of crude nitrobeizol. The mixture is very slowly heated.
At a temperature of about 120, the release of hydrogen bromide is expected, which ends after 2 to 3 hours. After cooling, the bromination product is filtered and washed with alcohol. The resulting dye is a reddish-blue powder. Purified by dissolving in sulfuric acid, it paints cotton paper in very strong indigo blue tones; Chlorination is carried out in a similar manner. A substance that stains in a slightly brighter reddish tone is obtained.
1.Example 2. 40 hours. 2.3 naphthioindigo is mixed while cooling with 800 parts of sulfuric acid 66 Ba. Some time later, 25 parts of bromine are slowly poured in and continue stirring, first while cooling, after 2-3 hours at ordinary temperature, until the absorption of bromine by the dye is complete. Then poured into a mixture of ice and bisulfite, filtered and washed until neutral. The resulting dye is almost identical with the dye described in example 1.
A suspension of 40 parts of 2.3-naphthioindigo is prepared in 40 parts of dry nitrobenzene. After adding a small amount of iodine, when heated in a water bath, a strong stream of dry chlorine is passed through, until — in a separate sample — the chlorine content is 15, (which corresponds to 2 atom
I хлора). 1.I chlorine). The dye stains in a somewhat more reddish color than that obtained in Example 1.
