1About With the invention does not apply to organic chemistry, more specifically to new ethoxy alkyl succinates, which exhibit surface-active properties that can be used as emulgators of polyvinyl acetate latexes, detergents in the chemical industry. Surface-active substances (surfactants) are known, which are condensation products of oxyethylene with a kilphenols and alcohols C. (OP-7, OP-10 and DS-10) SP. The esterification products of the monoester of maleic acid and glycols with aliphatic alcohols are known, showing the properties of the C 23 surface-active substances. The disadvantage of these compounds is their low surface activity and, therefore, insufficient emulsifying properties. The aim of the invention is to enhance the emulsifying properties of polyvinyl acetate latex emulsifiers. The goal is achieved by a new chemical structure, which is expressed by the following general formula: О О ()) m-0 (I) where n 8,9,12 at and 3, and h 8-12,14-16 at. The compounds of formula 1 are obtained by etherification of monoester of succinic acids and the corresponding ethylene glycol ali fatic alcohols. The yield of diesters is 85-90%. Example 1. B three-neck flask Stocked; a thermometer, a Dean-Stark trap, a mechanical stirrer containing 68.0 g (0.33 mol) of succinic acid monoester and 94 g of diethylene glycol, 43.4 g (0.33 mol) of octyl alcohol, 1.65 g of activated carbon - adsorbent of resin substances and 0.33 g of sulfuric acid as a catalyst. The reaction is carried out at a temperature of water release from the reaction mass: 100-110 C. The process is controlled by determining the acid numbers. The acid number of the product is 2.8 mg KOH / g. The reaction mass is filtered off from activated carbon, neutralized with a saturated soda solution, washed, dried, and fractionated in vacuo. Acid, the number of the finished product 0.9 mg CFU / g. Yield 90%. Examples 2-14. In accordance with Example 1, the compounds listed in Table 1 are prepared. Table 2 shows the results of elemental analysis. All the compounds obtained are highly soluble in organic solvents. Table 3 shows some of the physico-chemical properties of ethoxyalkyl succinates. Ethoxyalkyl succinates are intended to be used as emulsifiers in the emulsion polymerization of viiyl acetate. The properties of latexes and coatings based on them are presented in Table 4 in comparison with polyvinyl acetate latex stabilized by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) (GOST 1000262), used as an emulsifier.
