Description
The invention relates to methods for determining the content of hydrogen sulfide in the gas stream and can be used in analyzing the air of industrial premises or: the atmosphere of settlements. A known method for determining the sulfur of a hydrogen in a gas stream, based on the formation of colored compounds and a colorimetric determination on a standard scale or by using a photoelectrocalimeter ij. The closest to the present invention is a method for determining the content of impurities in a gaseous medium, including transferring gaseous impurities to an aerosol and recording its concentration, for example, in the interaction of hydrogen chloride with ammonia 2j. However, the known method is limited in use because of the need for a reagent that, under normal conditions, forms an aerosol with a definable straight line. The purpose of the invention is to control the content of hydrogen sulfide. This goal is achieved by the fact that according to the method for determining the content of impurities in a gaseous medium, including the transfer of gaseous impurities into an aerosol and the recording of its concentration, the analyzed gas free from ammonia is passed over an iron (III) nitrate crystalline hydrate layer. and hydrofluoric hydrate, however, the second is preferable. A necessary condition for the analysis of hydrogen sulfide is the absence of ash4iak in the gas flow, which, when interacting with the crystal iron (III) nitrate also gives an aerosol. In the case of ammonia in the gas stream, a cleaning cartridge with sorbent ™ absorbing eshmiac is applied. The drawing shows the dependence of the output signal of the electroinduction dust meter on the concentration of hydrogen sulfide, Example, Analyzed gas, free of ammonia, but containing hydrogen sulphide impurities, with a bulk velocity of 50 l / min. is passed over a layer of nitrate iron (III) hydrate, the contact surface of which with gas is 20 cm and the resulting aerosol nap Aulus T U B electromotive dust meter spare parts. In the absence of hydrogen sulfide in the gas stream, the reagent transducer does not create a background signal during measurements. Measurements of hydrogen sulfide concentration in the gas flow in the range of 0 / 001-20 mg / m show a linear dependence of the output Signal of the electric induction dust meter on the concentration of hydrogen sulfide (see drawing). Sensitivity of the method is 0.001 mg / m Compared to the baseline, the proposed method wins in the simplicity of technological ethos / sheni, in the possibility of continuous and automatic control of the content of hydrogen sulfide in gas streams while maintaining the high sensitivity inherent in aerosol methods of gas analysis at.
