This invention relates to a vehicle industry and can be used to lift and secure spare wheels on vehicles. The closest in technical essence to the invention is a device for lifting and fastening a spare wheel, comprising, its bracket mounted on a vehicle frame and a spare wheel holder mounted on a holder a locking mechanism, a drive for raising and lowering a spare wheel and a grip associated with the rim of the latter and the said drive and interacting with the holder 1.
