The invention relates to agricultural machinery, in particular, to methods of harvesting tops used for beet harvesting. There is a known method of harvesting beet tops, according to which the topper is cut off from the ground and loaded into vehicles for subsequent use for livestock tl 3. The disadvantage of this method is the reduction in harvesting performance of cBeKJSii due to the mutual influence of operations harvesting and harvesting of root vegetables, especially with high yields of tops and root crops. There is a known method of harvesting beet tops, including cutting and laying the tops of the harvesting tire on the field into a roll, which are placed on the floor where the tops have already been cleaned. The disadvantage of this method is that in this case, the tops of the tops are not picked, but plowed, i.e. the tops are not used for feed purposes. Closest to the proposed. is a method of harvesting beet tops, which includes cutting and laying the tops of the tops of the harvesting machine on the field in rolls c) by following their selection. According to this method, the tops of the tops are marked on the floor, on which the tops; already cut off, i.e. directly on the ground. The disadvantage of this method is increased contamination by the ground of the tops, selected from the rolls laid on the harvested field. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the pollution of the tops of the soil. The goal is achieved by the fact that the swaths are placed on the plots where the tops have not yet been cut, and at least through one pass of the harvesting machine, as well as the fact that. cutting the tops from the sections of the floor on which the rolls are placed is carried out after the selection of the latter, besides; cutting the tops from the plots of the floor. on which the rolls are placed, is carried out simultaneously with the selection of the latter. The method is implemented as follows. The tops are cut off, for example, with the disk knives of the BM-6 haulter and placed in the swath on the floor where the tops are not cut to. In this case, the roller is formed by means of widely known means, for example, rod®1i, tape or auger conveyors-valco-nadchaksh-li. Depending on the length of these conveyors or when their output is changed, the topper roll is laid through one or more passes of the harvesting machine. The tops of the swath, laid on the not yet cut tops of the tops, are generally not in contact with the ground, and therefore not contaminated by it. The earth, which can get into the roll when it is laid, in the process of some drying, rolls onto the soil surface. The least contamination of the tops by the ground occurs in a two-stage pruning, when the tops after the first pruning stage are laid in a roll with little or no soil contamination. The laid rolls are picked up by known technical pick-ups, for example, spring or finger bar conveyor belts, loaded into transport vehicles and then the tops cut from the rolls and the subsequent harvesting operations are carried out. With the simultaneous selection of a swath and cutting of the tops located under it, it can also be carried out with a VM-B harrowing machine, which then performs after-treatment of the haulm from the ground and loading it into vehicles. Thus, laying the cut tops in the swath on the uncut, as well as the selection of the roll from the uncut tops, reduces the contamination of the tops to the ground.
