Abstract

The portable fire protection adapter is formed by a rigid steel protective support frame (1) provided with a clips (3) for mounting to the loading area of the car and with an anchoring points (15) for handling and transferring in the chassis of the helicopter , there is located a water tank (2) from composite material, to the frame (1) is attached the gasoline pump (4) to draw water into and from the tank (2) and equipped with a suction line (5) and spherical valve (6) and with a supply line (9) with a flow winch (10), a hose (12) and a high-pressure jet (11); in the upper part of the tank (2) is located a bleed valve (16) and to the frame (1) is through the anchoring device (8) mounted also a gas tank (7).

Technical field

The technical solution relates to a fire adapter carried on the loading area of a car or in a pod under a helicopter.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Continuous supply of extinguishing agent is one of the basic conditions for successful localization and fire fighting. Without this condition, one of the most complicated fires, such as forest fires, cannot be extinguished. Experience in forest firefighting in the conditions of Slovakia shows that the decisive factors in relation to the time of forest fire removal are the location of the fire and the distance of the fire source water source. Both variables face the basic problem of their availability.

Based on statistics, there is currently no significant decrease in the risk of forest fires due to lack of funds for close monitoring (aviation, ground) aimed at early detection of forest fires at an early stage of their occurrence, insufficient forest transport network density at risk. localities for various reasons and mainly a permanent lack of ground fire extinguishing technology intended for localization and liquidation of forest fires in unavailable mountain terrains of Slovakia. These factors have a major impact on the extent of the forest fire, which is based on the late detection of a forest fire and the problem of the availability of the terrain for the intervention of fire brigade units.

This implies the necessity of seeking water security and transport in demanding conditions of forest operation by means of available technology with its suitable adaptation to forest fire extinguishing.

It is necessary to realize that forest fires in Slovakia often occur in locations inaccessible to firefighting equipment, with insufficient resp. unsuitable water sources for extinguishing. From the point of view of the equipment of cars for long-distance water supply for forest firefighting, it can be clearly stated that the greatest attention has been paid so far to tank-type automobile syringes, which, however, are unsuitable in the case of insufficient enough dense forest transport network. The proposed superstructure solution will increase the usability of Land Rover Defender, Nissan Navara and so on. for forest fire extinguishing, fire monitoring and monitoring in times of increased fire risk. The presented solution brings new knowledge of its technical solution and possibilities of its technological use on light off-road vehicles in forest fires.

The essence of the technical solution

The essence of the technical solution of a portable fire adapter for a car and a helicopter pod is that it is designed and adapted to the parameters of the selected car, while being placed on the loading area of the car. Its technical design also allows for a separate transport in the helicopter suspension due to its connection to a pond system used for extinguishing fires in mountain terrain. The support as well as the protective part of the adapter is a steel protective support frame in which the composite water tank is housed. The shape of the tank with a steel protective support frame is adapted to the loading area and vehicle equipment, taking into account the loading area dimensions, the position of the mudguards and the spare tire. Water inlet to the tank is solved through the suction pipe of the pump. A ball valve is located on the suction line of the gasoline pump to control the water that the gasoline pump sucks. Extinguishing is also provided by the gasoline pump through the high pressure jet winch nozzle. The adapter will be mobile, so it can be removed from the car's loading area while retaining the original performance of the car.

Designed in this way will ensure economically low demands and wide usability in forest fire fighting.

EXAMPLES

The steel protective support frame 1 of the composite water tank 2 has handles 3, by means of which it is secured on the loading surface of a car. Mounted on the steel protective frame 1 is a gasoline pump 4 designed for pumping water, which provides water inlet through the suction line 5 and a ball valve 6. The adapter includes a petrol tank 7 which is anchored via anchoring device 8 to the steel protective frame 1. The anchoring device 8 simultaneously forms the protective frame of the petrol tank 7.

The gasoline pump 4 provides the suction of water from the tank 2 through the inlet pipe 9 to the through-flow reel 10, thus allowing fires to be extinguished by the high-pressure jet 11. The winding of the through-flow hose 10 is provided by a handle 13 via a gear 14.

The full tank 2 can also be carried in the helicopter suspension via the anchoring points 15 which are part of the steel protective support frame 1.

The empty tank can be handled by crane or forklift via anchoring points 15. To prevent underpressure in tank 2, a vent valve 16 is located on the top.
