Abstract

The vast amounts of household waste comprising valuable materials, in particular plastics, metal, especially tinplate, glass etc., which take monstruous proportions, represent today a problem. In order to appropriately dispose of these waste valuable materials, a household shredder (4) is disclosed for directly crushing the waste objects produced in the household. Several containers (13), to which the crushed material can be separately supplied sorted according to the types of valuable materials, are preferably connected to the shredder (4).
