Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the technical field of herbicides, in particular herbicides for application to soil.
Doterajší stav technikyBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Na ničenie nežiadúcich škodlivých rastlín je užívateľom k dispozícii množstvo herbicídov, ktoré sa používajú v závislosti od biologických vlastností herbicídov, druhu ničených škodlivých rastlín a druhu úžitkových rastlín. Pritom sa tiež musí zohľadniť skutočnosť, že sa mnohé herbicídy na základe ich vlastného mechanizmu účinku môžu použiť výhradne pred vzídenŕm rastliny alebo po jej vzídení. Oba spôsoby a tiež k nim používané herbicídy vykazujú určité výhody a nevýhody. Ako nevýhody spôsobu po vzídení rastliny, pri ktorom sa používajú tiež herbicídy účinné na list ako Bilanafos, Diquat, Glufosinate-Ammonium, Glyphosate a Paraquat, sa napríklad uvádza ;A variety of herbicides are available to the user for controlling undesirable harmful plants, which are used depending on the biological properties of the herbicides, the type of harmful plants being destroyed and the type of crop plants. In doing so, account must also be taken of the fact that many herbicides, by virtue of their own mechanism of action, may be used exclusively before or after emergence of the plant. Both methods and the herbicides used therein have certain advantages and disadvantages. Disadvantages of a post-emergence process using foliar herbicides such as Bilanafos, Diquat, Glufosinate-Ammonium, Glyphosate and Paraquat are also used;
- poškodenie úžitkových rastlín predávkovaním- damage to crops by overdose
- podľa typu použitého herbicídu na ničenie škodlivých rastlín a/alebo existujúcich úžitkových rastlín niekoľkokrát opakované užitie.- depending on the type of herbicide used to control harmful plants and / or existing crop plants, reuse several times.
Obzvlášť naposledy menovaná nevýhoda je závažná práve z hľadiska časového a ekonomického hospodárenia. In particular, the latter disadvantage is serious in terms of time and economic management.
31879/H31879 / H
O herbicíde Glyphosate (N-(fosfonometyl)glycín), rovnako účinnom na list, je známe, že sa silne adsorbuje do pôdy a odbúrava sa, takže nie je v dostatočnom množstve dostupný rastlinám (L. Torstensson v „The Herbicíde Glyphosate, Verlag Butterworths, strany 137-150).On the other hand, many herbicides used after emergence have significant advantages, especially from an ecological point of view, since they often have more favorable toxicological and ecotoxicological properties than the herbicides used before emergence. Depending on the particular situation of use, it would therefore be desirable in many cases for the user to be able to use the herbicide "after emergence" under the conditions of use of the herbicide "before emergence, i.e. before emergence of the plants and possibly simultaneously with sowing crops. However, such a method of use is not yet possible, especially in the case of foliar-active herbicides, either because of the basic mechanism of action of the herbicides, since for example as foliar-herbicides only green parts of plants or their leaching behavior or also degradation behavior in soil. Thus, for example, the herbicide Glufosinate-Ammonium ((2-amino-4- (hydroxymethylphosphinyl) butanoic acid)), which is useful with foliar activity, is known to decompose rapidly in the soil so that the herbicidal effect cannot develop (G. Hoerlein in "Reviews of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology", Vol. 138, Springer-Verlag; "The Pesticide Manual", 11 h Edition 1997, British Crop Protection Council). The herbicide glyphosate (N- (phosphonomethyl) glycine), as effective per leaf, it is known to be strongly adsorbed into the soil and to degrade so that it is not available in sufficient quantities to plants (L. Torstensson in "The Herbicide Glyphosate, Verlag Butterworths, pages 137-150).
V nasledujúcom texte sa pod pojmom „herbicíd“ rozumie podľa súvislostí čistá herbicídna účinná látka alebo herbicídna látka vo forme prípravku, to znamená herbicídny prostriedok. Pojmy „pred vzídením“ a „po vzídení“ sú tu myslené vo vzťahu k okamihu vzídenia škodlivých rastlín, to znamená, že ošetrenie spôsobom „pred vzídením znamená ošetrenie herbicídom časovo predchádzajúce vzídenie škodlivej rastliny a tým i pred tvorbou zelených častí rastliny. Analogicky znamená ošetrenie spôsobom „po vzídení“ ošetrenie herbicídom časovo po vzídení škodlivých rastlín.In the following, the term "herbicide" means, according to the context, a pure herbicidal active substance or a herbicidal substance in the form of a preparation, i.e. a herbicidal composition. The terms "before emergence" and "after emergence" are meant herein in relation to the moment of emergence of the harmful plants, that is, the "pre-emergence" treatment means a herbicide treatment prior to the emergence of the harmful plant and hence before forming green parts of the plant. By analogy, post-emergence treatment means herbicide treatment time after emergence of harmful plants.

GB-A 1 041 028 uvádza zmesi zo solí Paraquatu a hliniek s antikokcidiálnymi vlastnosťami. In the field of plant protection as well as in the field of controlling harmful plants, attempts are still being made to favorably influence the utility properties of a given active substance, such as the spectrum of activity, duration of action or necessarily the amount used, for example by modified formulations or application methods. Thus, for example, Weed Research, 1997, 37, pages 19-26 investigates whether the so-called "controlled-release" formulation can increase the efficacy of the herbicide Chlorsulfuron and its tendency to elute. It is known from U.S. Pat. No. 5,674,519 that the property of certain plant protection agents as well as herbicides, namely the tendency to be washed out from the soil, can be limited by a formulation in which the active ingredient is enclosed in a microcapsule. Also, WO 98/05205 and US 5,543,383 disclose a particular form of encapsulation of a plant protection agent in a capsule, resulting in increased efficacy and reduced sensitivity to rainwash. Furthermore, WO 99/26474 describes a method of releasing an active ingredient using cyclodextrins or carbohydrates. EP-A 0 517 669 describes that the elution property of agrochemicals can be improved by microencapsulation in polyester polymers. GB-A 1 041 028 discloses mixtures of salts of Paraquat and clays with anticoccidial properties. However, no reference is made to the possibility of using post-emergence herbicides by suitable pre-emergence measures.
Podstata vynálezuSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is therefore an object of the present invention to allow the use of herbicides "after emergence" in the pre-emergence process. The solution is herbicidal compositions characterized by an effective content of one or more post-emergence herbicides and a carrier material of the group of clays, aerogels, high molecular weight polyglycols and polymers based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and copolymers thereof, excluding herbicidal compositions containing Paraquat clay.
31879ns/H31879ns / H
In doing so, the compositions according to the invention should contain only such post-emergence herbicides which, in the form of the hitherto known herbicidal compositions, have been used exclusively after emergence, i.e. after emergence of undesirable harmful plants.
Surprisingly, post-emergence herbicides which are bound to the above carrier materials exert a surprisingly herbicidal action against undesirable harmful plants before emergence, i.e. when the herbicidal composition is applied prior to emergence of harmful plants.
Zvyčajne obsahujú prostriedky podľa vynálezu:Typically, the compositions of the invention comprise:
a) 0,001 až 48 % hmotnostných jedného alebo niekoľkých herbicídov „po vzídení“(a) 0,001 to 48% by weight of one or more herbicides 'on emergence'
b) 2 až 90 % hmotnostných nosného materiálu a(b) 2 to 90% by weight of carrier material; and
c) 0 až 97 % hmotnostných rozpúšťadla.c) 0 to 97% by weight of solvent.
Vyššie uvedené herbicídy sú napríklad známe z „The Pesticíde Manuaľ, 11th Edition, 1997, British Crop Protection Council. Especially suitable herbicides "after emergence" are the herbicides of the foliar group. Bilanafos, Diquat, Glufosinate-Ammonium, Glyphosate and Paraquat herbicides are preferred. Glufosinate-Ammonium is particularly preferred. The above herbicides are known, for example, from The Pesticide Manuall, 11 th Edition, 1997, British Crop Protection Council. The herbicides mentioned can, of course, also be used in commercially available salt form, such as are known from "The Pesticide Manuall".
Podhodenie pritom znamená, že sa herbicíd dostane do pôdy podAn advantage of the compositions according to the invention is also that they are available in solid form and, for example, can be used in the form of granules. The user can apply this solid form of application directly to the area to be treated, that is, he does not need to prepare a liquid slurry for spraying. For this purpose, the compositions are applied to the soil to be treated, depending on the type of crop and the type of harmful plants which are expected to be suppressed, the compositions being incorporated into the soil without application of undercoating. The undercutting means that the herbicide enters the soil below
31879/H osivo. It is particularly advantageous that the herbicidal composition can also be applied in one working step with the sowing of the crop plant, resulting in a lower mechanical load on the soil.
The herbicides useful for the compositions of the present invention may be formulated as a pure active ingredient, or alternatively in conventional, commercially available formulations, together with carrier materials and, optionally, additives of the type described below, to form the compositions of the present invention. A particular advantage of the compositions according to the invention lies in their environmental compatibility: since the herbicides are not sprayed in liquid form but applied in solid form, unlike conventional application methods, there is no danger of uncontrolled penetration of spray mist on users and adjacent areas and plants. In addition, non-environmental adjuvants are used in the formulations because they are either biodegradable to harmless substances as either high molecular weight polyglycols, polymers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and its copolymers, or - like clay - they are environmentally neutral.
Pri všetkých spôsoboch výroby saThe preparation of the herbicidal compositions is carried out by mixing the active compound, the carrier material and, if appropriate, further additives by methods well known to those skilled in the art. For example, the granules can be produced by the method described in EP-A 413 267. Depending on the carrier material, the substance can be used in solid or liquid form or, optionally, as dissolved. In the case of granules, it is advantageous to have the active substances and additives to be added in liquid form or dissolved. In this case, these substances can be applied in a known manner, for example by spraying, casting, sprinkling, flame treatment, concrete mixers, rockers and so on. It is also possible to supersaturate the carrier materials with solutions of the active ingredients and additives concerned, for example, to form a gel or to remove excess water by drying. In the case of the production of melt granules such as those based on polyethylene glycols, the active substances and additives are preferably incorporated in solid form and extruded. Further, there is the possibility of tabletting, pearliteizing, flaking, as well as disintegration of the powder by breaking or milling. For all production methods,
Likewise, the finest granulate can be bonded with suitable adhesives to prevent dust formation. Further, additives may optionally be added in order, for example, to improve the flowability of the granulate or to improve its wettability.
Depending on the purpose of use, the herbicidal composition may additionally also contain other substances useful in plant protection, such as pre-emergence herbicides, plant growth regulators, fungicides, insecticides, preservatives (antidotes, herbicidal antibodies), nutrients, preservatives, seed treatment agents and fertilizers. The choice of pre-emergence herbicides, plant growth regulators, insecticide fungicides and seed treatment products used, as appropriate, depends on the type of crop and the expected harmful plant to be eradicated, the type of fungi, insects and feeding pests. In principle, all commercially available and usually used plant protection substances can be used. Particularly suitable as nutrients and fertilizers are aqueous ammonium nitrate solutions - urea and NPK solutions such as 12-6-8, 8-86, 5-8-10, as well as ammonium sulfate and / or ammonium nitrate solutions.
Výhodnými nosnými materiálmi sú aerogély, polyméry na báze kyseliny akrylovej, kyseliny metakrylovej a ich kopolyméry a rovnako vysokomolekulárne polyglykoly.Preferred carrier materials are aerogels, polymers based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and copolymers thereof, as well as high molecular weight polyglycols.
When using the compositions according to the invention, care must be taken that the crop plants are sufficiently tolerant to the herbicide used. These include, in addition to useful plants, which have been sufficiently tolerated by targeted gene interventions, such as barley, which, even without gene interventions, exhibit tolerance to many herbicides. The compositions according to the invention are particularly advantageous when used in crops of cereal, maize, soya and rape seed crops. They are preferably used in cultures which are sufficiently tolerant to the herbicide due to gene interventions.

As with other herbicidal compositions, it is of course also possible and, in the case of the compositions according to the invention, to provide the herbicide with additives such as surfactants, wetting agents, emulsifiers, adjuvants, ammonium salts, preservatives, colorants, antifoams, adhesives, solvents, buffer systems and UV stabilizers. Depending on the type and purpose of the additives, these may be incorporated into the formulation together with the herbicide, or remain separate and then used. These additives serve to improve the user's technical properties. The use of such additives may be advantageous, for example, to increase the herbicide activity time. The preservatives serve to slow down, for example, the biological degradation of the active substances and / or excipients in the preparations.
