Abstract

Contact means for electric installation equipment have pin-shaped or tongue-shaped connecting lugs (5.1) that can be plugged into a pocket-shaped clamping piece (1) of the installation equipment and elastically establish a contact therein. In order to ensure with such contact means a reliable and lasting connection between the connecting lugs (5.1) of a bus bar (5) and the corresponding clamping piece (1) with a low transfer impedance, a hollow cylindrical spring body (3) is arranged in the clamping piece (1) to generate at the periphery the contact forces between the connecting lug (5.1) and a contact surface (1.3) of the clamping piece (1). The spring body (3) is preferably shaped as a pressure spring whose windings however are relatively closely spaced and radially biased. These contact means are particularly suitable for electrically connecting circuit breakers and other serial built-in equipment to commercially available, pluggable bus bars.
