Abstract

The low-cost mobile toilet is preferably a multi-purpose sanitary device, which can be used in cases of water shortage or lack of material means. It operates independently from infrastructure with a minimum quantity of water. For simple bad odour protection it features a water trap. An improvised manual assembly from available material is possible. The bowl (3) inserted into the chassis (1) is made preferably from flexible material in one piece with flexible outlet (8) which is by a bending lever (5) kept in the "locked" position, when it is bent to result in a water trap (9) as a protection against gases and "open" when not bent, so that there is no air trap (9) which could obstruct flushing, while the gases are redirected past the narrower outlet (4) into the wider scooping opening (12) of the higher lying gas container (7) which encloses the bowl (3) flexibly, adapting to the gas pressure. The bowl (3) is shaken by the bending lever (5) thus accelerating the flushing. When removing the content of the device it is turned inside out so that it produces an outlet funnel.
